Valley vs hiring an SDR vs Audienti: software, a hire, or a managed service?

Valley is LinkedIn-first AI outbound software: you approve its signal-based messages and it sends from your own profile, from $199 per seat a month. Hiring an SDR adds a person, with ramp and management. Audienti is a managed service: $7,500 a month, run by our operators from three people on your team, measured on accepted opportunities.

Which fits your situation?

Choose Valley if

you have someone who'll spend the setup time and the daily approvals, you want LinkedIn-first, signal-based outreach from your own profile, and you'd rather pay per seat than per service. It's a strong fit for founders doing their own selling.

Hire an SDR if

you want prospecting built in-house as a permanent role, you have a manager with time to run it, and you can wait out ramp (about three months on average, per The Bridge Group).

Choose Valley Studios if

you want Valley run for you and it reopens to new users. Ask whose accounts send, what's in scope, and what counts as success.

Choose Audienti if

you want outreach from the credible people already on your team, run by operators rather than by your team, measured on opportunities your team accepts, without adding tools or headcount. Get more with the team you already have.

Audienti is the wrong fit if

you want to run the software yourself, you need many senders or agency use, volume is the goal, you don't have a proven offer, or you can't commit to a 90-day term.

What is Valley?

Valley describes itself as outbound software "for founders, sales teams and agencies" (homepage). It finds prospects, researches what matters to them, drafts messages in your voice, and sends across LinkedIn and email from accounts you connect.

The work starts from signals. Valley's playbooks cover people viewing your profile, engaging with your posts or a competitor's, following you, or visiting your website, plus company signals like hiring, funding, and job changes, and keyword engagement. Valley scores each prospect against your ideal customer profile and researches them before drafting.

You stay in control of what goes out. Valley's pricing page says you review, edit, and approve drafts before they send, and its own blog says proven sequences can be promoted to autopilot (Valley blog). Replies land in a unified inbox. Valley integrates with HubSpot, has an API, and offers an MCP server so you can run it from Claude or ChatGPT.

Valley says it replaces jobs you'd otherwise spread across Sales Navigator, Clay, Apollo, HeyReach, Instantly, lemlist and others (homepage; that's Valley's claim). What it deliberately doesn't do: it doesn't sell inboxes, domains, or warmup, it isn't built for volume email, and it doesn't make calls (Valley blog).

If you want to run signal-based LinkedIn outreach yourself, it's a well-built option.

How much does Valley cost?

Short answer: $199 per seat a month on Starter, or $149 billed quarterly. Valley's pricing page notes "Prices updated 19 Oct 2026"; we checked it on October 29, 2026.

  • Starter: $199/seat/month monthly, $149 quarterly. LinkedIn only. Email sending, priority Slack support, and an onboarding call are optional add-ons.
  • Plus: $299/seat/month monthly, $249 quarterly. LinkedIn and email, 1,000 email messages a month, priority Slack group, onboarding call, dedicated customer success manager.
  • Growth: $499/seat/month monthly. Everything in Plus plus $300 in additional credits every month.
  • Scale: custom pricing for five seats or more.

Trial: eligible new subscribers get a 7-day trial; a payment method is required. Credits: finding new prospects, finding and verifying email addresses, and upgraded message generation use credits; research, base message writing, imports, and LinkedIn sending are included.

Done-for-you: Valley Studios is listed at $1,499 a month. When we checked, the page said it is not accepting more users and offered a waitlist.

The cost that isn't on the pricing page is time. Someone on your team sets up the plays, approves messages (about 10 minutes a day by Valley's own estimate), works the replies, and follows through. For a founder doing their own selling that's often a fair trade. For a sales leader whose AEs are already full, it's the part to price in.

Valley vs hiring an SDR: which costs less?

Putting a $199 seat next to an $80K OTE package (the 2025 median, per The Bridge Group) makes the software look like a rounding error. Valley's own comparison posts put SDR cost much higher than its seat price (Valley blog). On sticker price, the seat wins easily.

It isn't a like-for-like comparison, though. A seat needs an operator: someone to pick the signals, approve the drafts, and run every conversation that comes back. An SDR needs a manager, a ramp period (3.0 months on average), and a replacement plan, since average tenure is 1.9 years (The Bridge Group).

The honest framing: software lowers the cost of sending. It doesn't lower the cost of running outbound. If you already have someone with the hours and judgment to run it, a seat is very cheap leverage. If you don't, the seat sits idle or the work lands on an AE who should be closing.

Same instincts, different jobs: Valley vs Audienti

Valley and Audienti agree on a lot. Both start from signals rather than cold lists. Both are LinkedIn first. Both send from your own people's profiles, not a rented sender pool. Both have a human approve messages before they go out. If those are the things you care about, either can work.

The differences are about the operating model:

  • Who operates it. Valley is software your team runs: setup, plays, daily approvals, replies. Audienti is run by our operators; your team takes the meetings.
  • Who sends. Valley scales by seats, one LinkedIn account each. Audienti runs from three credible people on your team, the ones your buyers actually want to hear from.
  • Where relationships live. With both, outreach comes from your team's profiles. Audienti's whole model is built so those relationships, and the records, stay with your team in your CRM.

What counts as success. Valley's dashboard and posts talk about replies, meetings, and "potential pipeline." Those are fair measures for software. Audienti measures something narrower: opportunities your team accepts in your CRM. A meeting that never becomes an opportunity doesn't count. That changes what gets optimized, from getting a response to getting a qualified buyer in front of your AEs. See how Audienti is priced and what counts as an accepted opportunity, or run your own numbers in the opportunity model.

Is Valley safe for your LinkedIn account?

Valley's terms include a "5x safety guarantee" tied to LinkedIn account restrictions. Valley describes it as a safety guarantee, not a general satisfaction refund (Valley blog). Valley's blog also says sending stays inside LinkedIn's limits from cloud infrastructure (Valley blog).

LinkedIn's own policy prohibits third-party software that automates activity on its site and says accounts using such tools risk restriction (LinkedIn Help).

That policy applies to every automation tool and to services like Audienti that work through LinkedIn accounts. We do not call any option "safe." The question is whether the operating model fits your risk tolerance. More: Can you automate LinkedIn outreach without getting restricted?

Valley Studios vs Audienti

Valley Studios is Valley's done-for-you tier: "Your Valley, operated by us: strategy, campaigns, optimization, reporting," listed at $1,499 a month. When we checked on October 29, 2026, it was not accepting more users (pricing).

Fair: both run outbound for you. Studios' scope beyond the pricing card isn't stated, so we won't compare prices as if they were like for like. Questions worth asking any done-for-you provider:

  • Whose accounts send? Your team's profiles, or the provider's?
  • Where do the records live? When it ends, whose CRM has the data and relationships?
  • What counts as success? Meetings booked, or opportunities your team accepts?
  • What's the term? Monthly, quarterly, annual?

With Audienti, outreach runs from three people on your team, everything syncs to your CRM, success is opportunities your team accepts, and the initial term is 90 days. More on what to ask any done-for-you provider.

How does Audienti work?

Audienti is a managed prospecting service. Here is how it works:

  1. Premise. We build a written premise: why a specific buyer should care now, tied to what your company does and who it helps.
  2. Signals. We watch for live signals—job changes, funding, content engagement, company news—that make the premise true for a specific person.
  3. Research. When a signal fires, we research the person, their company, and their situation to find the genuine opening.
  4. Outreach. Outreach goes from your team's own LinkedIn profiles; email is a secondary channel, not volume-driven. New buyer-facing messages get human review until the system has learned your voice; our operators do the reviewing by default.
  5. CRM sync. Everything lands in your CRM with the signal that surfaced each prospect. Your team takes the meeting and accepts or rejects the opportunity.

Meetings with the right people. Opportunities Knit could work.

Knit sells vendor-performance management to enterprise CIOs and their teams. Knit wanted more qualified pipeline from its own team. With Audienti, Knit reached relevant buyers, booked meetings, and turned those conversations into opportunities in its own pipeline. Prospects and their activity appeared in Knit's HubSpot, so Matt and his team could see the work and advance the relationships.

“The meetings were with the right people, and they became opportunities in our pipeline.”

Frequently asked questions

Common questions about Valley, hiring an SDR, and how Audienti compares.

How much does Valley AI cost?

Starter is $199 per seat a month on monthly billing ($149 billed quarterly), LinkedIn only. Plus is $299 ($249 quarterly) and includes email. Growth is $499 a month with $300 in credits each month. Valley Scale (five seats or more) is custom. There's a 7-day trial for eligible new subscribers, and a payment method is required (Valley pricing page, prices updated 19 Oct 2026, checked October 29, 2026).

Is Valley cheaper than hiring an SDR?

On price, yes: a seat costs far less than a hire (The Bridge Group's 2025 median SDR package is $80K OTE). But a seat doesn't run itself. Someone still sets it up, approves messages, and works the replies. Compare the cost of that person's time, not just the seat.

Does Valley send email?

Yes. Email is an add-on on Starter and included on Plus and Growth. Since August 2026 Valley sends email natively in its sequences from your own Gmail or Microsoft account, about 30 sends a day per seat. Valley says it doesn't cover volume email (inbox fleets, warmup).

Does Valley have a done-for-you service?

Yes, Valley Studios at $1,499 a month. When we checked on October 29, 2026, Valley's pricing page said it is currently not accepting more users and offered a waitlist.

Is Valley safe to use with LinkedIn?

Valley's terms include a "5x safety guarantee" tied to LinkedIn account restrictions; Valley describes it as a safety guarantee, not a general satisfaction refund. LinkedIn's policy prohibits third-party software that automates activity on its site, and says accounts using such tools risk restriction. The same policy applies to any service working through LinkedIn accounts, including Audienti.

Valley vs Audienti: what's the difference?

Both are LinkedIn first, signal-based, send from your own profiles, and have a human approve messages. Valley is software your team runs, priced per seat. Audienti is a managed service run by our operators from three people on your team, $7,500 a month with a 90-day initial term, measured on opportunities your team accepts.

Should I use an AI SDR or hire a junior SDR?

It depends on whether you have someone to run the software and whether you want prospecting as a permanent in-house role. We break down the trade-offs in our AI SDR or junior SDR answer.
